1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Plantle mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Plantle.

2. Description of Service

Plantle provides an AI-powered plant care application that offers:

• Smart watering reminders and notifications
• AI-powered plant identification
• Personalized plant care schedules
• Plant health tracking and analytics
• Care calendar and history
• AI assistant for plant care questions

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of Plantle, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Not share your account with others

4. Guest Mode

You may use Plantle without creating an account ("Guest Mode"). In Guest Mode, your data is stored locally on your device and is not backed up to cloud storage. Guest data cannot be recovered if you uninstall the app or lose your device.

5. Subscription & Payments

Plantle offers both free and premium features:

• Free Features: Basic watering reminders, plant tracking, care calendar
• Premium Features: Unlimited AI plant identification, AI care assistant, advanced analytics
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through your app store account
• Auto-renewal can be managed in your device settings
• Refunds are subject to app store policies (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
• Premium features are immediately available upon successful payment

6. AI Plant Identification

Our AI plant identification feature provides suggestions based on image analysis. While we strive for accuracy, plant identification is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. Always verify plant species before consuming or handling potentially toxic plants. Plantle is not responsible for misidentification or any resulting consequences.

7. Care Recommendations

Plant care recommendations provided by Plantle are general guidelines based on common best practices. Actual care requirements may vary based on your specific environment, climate, and plant conditions. Plantle is not liable for plant health issues or loss resulting from following our recommendations.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to Plantle. By uploading content, you grant Plantle a license to:

• Store and process your content to provide services
• Use anonymized data to improve AI accuracy
• Display your content within the app for your personal use

We will never share your personal plant photos publicly without explicit permission.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Reverse engineer or decompile the app
• Use automated systems to access the app
• Resell or redistribute our services
• Abuse or spam our AI features

10. Intellectual Property

The Plantle app, including its design, code, AI models, content, and branding, is owned by Plantle and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SECURE. PLANT CARE RESULTS MAY VARY AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANTLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PLANTS, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your access to premium features will immediately cease.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Plantle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
